Wondering what Private Label Rights content is and how to use it on your blog? Learn tips on how to use PLR content and my favorite providers for bloggers.
When you’re a mom, it’s hard to find time for yourself. If you’re a mom blogger, then you know how hard it can be to find time to write on your blog regularly when your children are young.
I’ve been there! When my girls were little and my husband was traveling all the time, I had to stay up all hours writing and getting content created and scheduled. I kept a very tight blogging schedule!
It was absolutely exhausting. Then I discovered hiring virtual assistants to create content. That eventually led me to discover Private Label Rights (PLR) content.
Using PLR content has allowed me to save time, add depth to articles and I’m writing and start building out new niche websites. I don’t feel like enough bloggers know about it, so I wanted to share!
In this article, I’m going to discuss:
- What is Private Label Rights Content?
- How to Use PLR Content
- Using Stock Photos with PLR Content
- Considerations When Purchasing Private Label Rights Content
- Where to Buy PLR Content
What is Private Label Rights Content?
Private Label Rights content, more commonly referred to as PLR content, is content that you purchase the right to use on your blog. How many people can purchase rights to that content varies by carrier.
You can find private label rights content on pretty much any subject you can think of. So no matter which niche your blog is you, you’ll be able to secure PLR content that will be of interest your your readers.
If you’re a food blogger, there are even PLR recipes and PLR recipe videos! It can really help to supplement the content you create yourself and provide value to your readers.
How to Use PLR Content
Using PLR content is easy, but it does take a little work. Since many people can purchase the same content, you won’t want to use it as is.
I always re-write my PLR content to be unique. I add my own research and experience, I re-structure sentences and take out anything I don’t agree with.
When I’m done editing the content, I always check it on Copyscape to make sure it’s unique. I spend about $5 a year on Copyscape, so it’s a minimal investment.
So for usually around $1 and 15-30 minutes of my time, I have a unique piece of content for one of my blogs.
Using Stock Photos with PLR Content
While it’s best to use unique photos, stock photos are an excellent short cut. If I have a photo I took or I can quickly take one, I always do that.
However, for some blog posts, especially ones that are based on PLR content, I often grab a stock photo. I typically purchase my stock photos from Deposit Photos..
While there are free stock photos sites, I prefer the security of paying a stock photo company for usage rights. I’m always afraid that if use a “free” stock photo that should’t have been free, it will come back to bite me later.
Considerations When Purchasing Private Label Rights Content
Different PLR providers will have different rules. Some of them allow you to sell or pass on rights to others, while others do not.
Some PLR providers allow you to build a niche website using their content, then sell the website. Others stipulate you may never resell the content in any way.
Make sure to read the rules when you purchase private label rights content so you don’t wind up in trouble. Using PLR content is supposed to simplify your life, not complicate it 🙂
